Both Brixton Plumbers merchants to shut – flats push out more jobs

Both Brixton plumbers merchants are set to close as luxury priced housing continues to replace employment generating space.

Surrey based private developer Walbury Estates have acquired the Plumbase site in Stockwell Green and held a pre-planning public consultation at Stockwell Resource Centre on 7th December.

Meanwhile Lexadon, the well established Lambeth-based market rental landlord, have acquired Diamond Merchant plumbing supplies 41-45 Acre Lane. Their scheme involves 27 new residential units for rent and 3 commercial units – partial pan from Lexaon’s website below.
Pre planning consultation on Lexadon’s scheme will be at their premises at 419 Coldharbour Lane on December 12th.
