The Covid-19 lock-down is not going to let Windrush Day 2020 go by unmarked. The Brixton Project and Lambeth Council are organising a literal all-singing, all-dancing celebration of the Windrush generation for Monday June 22nd. Local History in Lock-Down
Following a very successful set of talks in May, a further set of on-line talks will be given by Lambeth Archives in June.
Archiving the epidemic
Lambeth archives want to collect for posterity material recording the impact of the Coronavirus epidemic in Lambeth. The archives are closed to visitors for the duration but they will welcome any material, as mentioned in their poster, when this is all over.
Lambeth Country Show Cancelled
This year’s Lambeth Country Show has been cancelled. There is more information on their website lambethcountryshow.co.uk/coronavirus/. They promise to be back next year on 17 and 18 July 2021.
