There was time when Brixton was a Parliamentary constituency in itself. If you are interested in the history, do see our book Representing Brixton – the story of Brixton’s MPs by Simon Adams (brixtonsociety.org.uk/publications/books). Today, parts of Brixton are in three separate constituencies. Following the general election, all three are represented by women members of the Labour Party. From left to right in our photo: Florence Eshalomi (Vauxhall), Helen Hayes (Dulwich & West Norwood) and Bell Ribeiro-Addy (Streatham).
