How Stockwell Lost Its Green, an illustrated talk by Bill Linskey

How did the ancient village green of Stockwell come to be built over in the Victorian era? The answer to this question will reveal a good deal of the history of the area. The venue for the talk is itself a rare survival: a purpose-built L.C.C. laundry for the use of housing estate residents, now in use as a community centre.
